"Não acredite em nada só porque ouviu.
Não acredite em nada só porque todos afirmam e falam a respeito.
Não acredite em nada só porque está escrito nos livros sagrados.
Não acredite em nada só porque seus professores e mestres dizem que é verdade.
Não acredite em tradições só porque elas têm sido transmitidas de geração para geração.

Mas, depois de observar e analisar,
quando você encontrar algo que concorda com a razão,
que conduz ao Bem e ao Benefício de cada um e de Todos,
então aceite-o e viva por isso."

Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.”
